Meet at 9:00 am
Start Location: Canyon Club Brewery
Pre-registration
Back for another Dirty Adventure this time in the East Bay where we began! We'll depart from CCB at 9:15am and head up El Toyonal to Wildcat via the cut-through. We'll do a NW loop out Nimitz using Havey Canyon to get back to Wildcat Trail which we’ll take to Loop Road.
We'll rest at the intersection of Meadow and Wildcat Gorge and then proceed to Seaview via Wildcat Gorge and Curran trails. Seaview will be the only hard climb of the day.
From Steam trains we'll drop on the road via GP and Fish Ranch to Sibley where we'll enjoy the wild flowers and vistas before taking a circuitous route back to CCB via trails near Pinehurst.
Lunch at CCB post ride. This ride will be fewer people due to Spring Break so please come and adventure with us!
Strava Route is 33M 4600ft of elevation.

Meet at 9:00 am for a 9:15 am start
GPC Route: Solvang Five Canyons
Start Location: Solvang - Royal Copenhagen Inn
Pre-registration
See nearly all that Solvang has to offer in one big loop. See Longhorns, Llamas, Buffalo and Davey Crockett! We will have an elegant lunch in Los Alamos, before tackling the horribly rough Drum Canyon Road, then trying to sneak by Figueroa Mt Brewing Company before arriving back at the start.
A cheerful adventurous attitude is encouraged. Strong navigation skills or riding with a buddy who knows the route can be very helpful. Print your own cue sheet if needed. Please sign in online if you would like the leader to keep some track of you; there may not be a paper sign in sheet at the ride start. Two full water bottles and some nutrition make good sense. The standards listed in the Rider Guidelines on our website always apply.

GPC Route: Solvang Four Canyons Loop
Start Location: Solvang - Royal Copenhagen Inn
Pre-registration
See the best of Solvang and get to lunch quicker. Miss the roughest climb that I have ever done, Cat Canyon. After lunch, we tackle the second roughest road in the area. The even shorter ride possibility is to turn around at Fess Parker Winery, and return nearly the same way (26 miles).
Meet at 9:00 am for a 9:15 am start
GPC Route: 3/4 Jalama
Start Location: Solvang - Royal Copenhagen Inn
Pre-registration
This will be the Jalama Beach Day. Options include the Whole Jalama, the 3/4 Jalama, Just Jalama, and an Out and Back on Santa Rosa Road. Santa Rosa Road is quite nice, and is featured on the movie "Sideways". The Jalama Beach Cafe is famous for its burger. Note: we have found the burger too big to eat alone, there are lighter options, and the picnic area is casual, you can bring your own food. So Just Jalama Beach road is 28 miles, the 3/4 Jalama can be done if you carpool to the start of Jalama Beach road then ride back to Solvang once you've done Jalama Beach. The Whole Jalama is the hotel to the Cafe and back, 77 miles. Your two likely ride leaders, Brian and Mark, will probably do the 3/4 Jalama.
GPC Route: Mt Figueroa Adventure Loop Clockwise
Start Location: Solvang - Royal Copenhagen Inn
Pre-registration
We will climb up the west side of Mt Figueroa, for an up and back, or ride to the Summit of Mt. Figueroa via the west side, and descend the east side. After the summit, we will descend to Los Olivos for lunch at Panino. Return to Solvang via Alamo Pintado or Ballard Canyon.
We have many cue sheets, routes and possibilities, you are welcome to extend, shorten, or lead an additional ride in competition with this ride. For this route you need an especially cheerful attitude, and good route finding skills although there are few turns. If you plan on joining us, please let us know in advance, you should attend the happy hour / route planning meeting the night before, or check in with us, so that you are aware of any changes to the route, start time or start location. 30% PoP or temperatures above 90 and below 30 may cancel the ride.

GPC Route: Pozo Loop
Start Location: Santa Margarita Community Park
Pre-registration
Note the later start time since we will be driving to get to the start. Accessed on our travel day between Solvang and Paso Robles, Pozo Loop offers up stunning scenery! There is good parking at the Community Park. Bring two full water bottles, as the water at the Ranger Station still said non potable. We will watch the temperatures, we just did this ride and it was too hot (80 in town, 96 on bike). We generally eat at "The Porch" restaurant in town after the ride.
A cheerful adventurous attitude is encouraged. Strong navigation skills or riding with a buddy who knows the route can be very helpful. Print your own cue sheet if needed. Please sign in online if you would like the leader to keep some track of you; there will not be a paper sign in sheet at the ride start. Two full water bottles and some nutrition makes good sense. GPC Route: Occidental Loop

Pre-registration closed. You can sign in at the start.
Let's ride along the Sonoma coast for one of our favorite rides. We will ride from Valley Ford through Occidental to Duncan's Mills for lunch and with a return along Hwy 1. The basic ride is about 40 miles with an optional 7 or so miles along Austin Creek and back up Cazadero Hwy. On return along Hwy 1, there is an optional steep climb up Bay Hill Rd.
Bring lunch or buy lunch in Duncan's Mills. There are pizza and sweets at the Gold Coast Coffee and Bakery where we have lunch or you can buy a sandwich across the road at the general store.

GPC Route: Tour de Paso via Adelaida
Start Location: Adelaide Inn, Paso Robles
Pre-registration
Update: meet at 8:30 am next to the pool at the Adelaide Inn.
I have edited last years ride to make it a little shorter, and with a less steep start. This route does an Adelaida Road start as opposed to a Peachy, and cuts several miles on the East Side. A great tour of most all of the local roads. A great ride up Adelaida Road, across on Vineyard, and down the extremely smooth Willow descent and across Vineyard to the East Side, which offers a lot of rolling hills, farms, and great scenery. Lunch could be had back in Paso around the Town Square. I'd recommend Pappy McGregor's.
Two full water bottles and some nutrition makes good sense. Meet at 9:00 am for a 9:15 am start
GPC Route: Parkfield Earthquake Ride
Start Location: Mission San Miguel Arcángel
Pre-registration
Update: Meet at 8:45 am at the start location in San Miguel.
Meet at 9:00 in front of the pool at the Adelaide Inn, 1215 Ysabel Street, so that we can drive to San Miguel to start the ride. In San Miquel we will park on Mission Street, across the street from the San Miguel Arcángel Mission. Do not park alongside the mission, that area is important to those religious devotees who want to walk around and worship the mission. The presiding priest of this Mission has requested this of us. He offered us even better parking, blessings and all, but it got way too complicated. This is a really cool ride into a very remote area, crossing the San Andreas Fault to an iconic western town with lunch at a rustic western café. I would say that you need a cheerful attitude and good navigation skills, but there is only one road, but I might as well say it anyway, so consider it said, this area is remote, and very cool, and don't be scared! This ride is a favorite with many other clubs. If you plan on joining us, please let us know in advance, you should attend the happy hour / route planning meeting the night before, or check in with us, so that you are aware of any changes to the route, start time or start location. 30% PoP may cancel.

40+ miles without a stop sign. Wildflowers & critters. Food & drink at the Junction cafe. That is how Mines road made my top 3 in the bay area.
We will start at milepost 8.8 up from Intersection with Del Valle to make riding to the end of San Antonio Valley more accessible. There is room there for 5 or 6 cars and area is safe / visible (people entering 3 driveways nearby).
This option bypasses the first (biggest) hill; shortens mileage to 42 and elevation to about 3k. Out and back, planning to stop at the cafe mile 26 on the way back but it is available at mile 16 on the way out.
Note the rwgps route below is from intersection with Del Valle out to the turn at end of flattish SA Valley. Leaderless option for this route is to start at beginning of Mines Rd (start id 46) providing entire 59 miles and 4.2k elevation; plenty of parking there. Join us at the cafe or along the way; RSVP

Meet at 9:30 am Rain Date: Fri Apr 22
Start Location: Berkeley - Spruce & Grizzly Peak Blvd - north side
Pre-registration closed. You can sign in at the start.
The roads will be wet and it will probably be raining in the morning, so this ride is postponed until tomorrow, Friday. The pre-registration for the rain date is different from the original date, so please sign up again on that ride if you intend to come.
There is light rain in the forecast. Check back here for possible postponement. If it looks wet we will postpone to Friday.
We'll ride out to Martinez for lunch (mile 35) via SPDR, Alhambra, and pig farm. Snack stop at Nancy Boyd park (mile 23), then Franklin Canyon to McEwen (the easy way) and the George Miller Trail. Return via Bear Creek.
If coming from the East side, you can meet the group at the foot of Wildcat at approximately 10:00. Let me know if that is your plan. We'll collect you if you are there, but we won't wait if you aren't.
Map and cue at RideWithGPS. Faster riders are welcome if they don't mind waiting at regroups. Faster riders should also feel free to push on after lunch if they do mind waiting. Let the ride leader know, in that case.

I have learned that Niles Canyon Rd is closed this weekend between Palomares and Sunol, so it is no longer an option. Riders -- send email if you would like to me to propose other lengthening options; otherwise it will be the 62-mile route only.
Ride from Berkeley south along the ridge. Optional start point at Sibley Regional Park: be there, ready to ride, at 9:15am. South via Pinehurst and Redwood to Castro Valley. Option for Palomares and Sunol (85 mile version) or Norris Canyon (62 mile). Return via San Ramon, Danville, etc.
Preregistration and RSVP's are much appreciated, so that I know the size of the group (lunch planning) and interest in the Palomares/Sunol option.

If the construction prevents us from going towards Palomares, we will do Hayward Hills instead to get over to Castro Valley. Hayward Hills RWGPS route
Let's try this again during this second rain date: Start at Union City BART and end at Rockridge BART. Big climbs include Palomares northbound and Redwood. Instead of going onto Pinehurst, we'll continue on Redwood and Skyline/Joaquin Miller towards Montclair and eventually drop down into Rockridge. To make it on time, please board the Berryessa-bound train that arrives at Union City at 9:46. See RWGPS link. Registration is optional, but always preferred. We can start at Union City because there's no track work this weekend.

3/4 Jalama
Start Location:
Solvang - Royal Copenhagen Inn

Start Location:
Adelaide Inn, Paso Robles

Please join us for this hilly ride which is really only a 4.6. There is ample parking and restrooms at ride start and a teeth rattling descent on Tunnel Rd at the ride end, in-between is pretty nice especially on Redwood Rd.
Lunch is at a golf course previously named Willow Park, but now Redwood Canyon. It has restrooms, water and a limited kitchen. I’m packing my lunch.
Please pre-register.
Rain cancels. You can also join our web forum and check the forum archives for the current information or contact Mark Sapiro at (415) 388-8910.
Join the club's virtual monthly business meeting at 7:00 pm. Optional social time from 6:45 pm to 7:00 pm. Check your email for an announcement with the agenda and details of how to join the meeting.

The forecast keeps getting worse, with POP in Martinez at 70% from 8am to 2pm. The ride is cancelled.
There is a surprisingly high chance of rain for the morning, but the East Bay is our best chance to stay dry. Check back here for possible cancellation if it looks wet.
Map and cue at RideWithGPS. Faster riders are welcome if they don't mind waiting at regroups. Faster riders should also feel free to push on after lunch if they do mind waiting. Let the ride leader know, in that case.

This ride is CANCELED AGAIN due to rain early morning and wet roads thereafter. It will be re-listed next Saturday, 4/23, and will start from Union City BART as it was originally. (No track work next weekend)
This point-to-point ride was originally starting from Union City BART. Due to track work and the bus bridge, we'll start from South Hayward BART and end at Rockridge BART. Instead of 38 miles, the ride will be 42. Big climbs include Palomares northbound and Redwood towards Oakland. We'll continue on Redwood and Skyline/Joaquin Miller towards Montclair and eventually drop down into Rockridge. To make it on time, please board the Berryessa-bound train that arrives at South Hayward at 9:41. Check RWGPS link, which will be updated from original start at Union City.
