Grizzly Peak Cyclists
Century Prep starts on March 5

Get yourself ready to tackle the Grizzly Peak Century. The Century Prep series start with a couple of warm-up rides, followed by 7 rides of increasing difficulty.

Alex's Second Saturday Ride

Our Second Saturday all-club ride happens monthly, except in May. For details see the ASSR page and the Schedule below.   Alhambra Valley Road is closed for an indefinite time. We have found alternative routes. Thanks Mark Abrahams. The extra miles on the Andante, Adagio, and Allegretto route are an option to explore Alhambra Valley Road without any cars.

Larghetto Bear Claw Cafe in Pinole

Andante 45/51 mile route to Crockett and back

Adagio 50/56 mile route to Martinez and back

Allegretto 59/65 mile route to Lake Herman Road, Benicia, Martinez

Presto 85 mile route to Rockville

Shorter Easier Rides

Iif you are looking for something shorter and gentler, try these two rides which repeat each month: the First Sunday ride is 28 miles total and nearly flat. The 3rd Saturday ride, also 28 miles, has some hills. Both rides have at least two leaders, one at the front, and a sweep riding at the back, so no one gets lost. Come join us on these friendly and supportive group rides.

Individual Time Trial

Alhambra Valley Road is closed for an unknown period of time. Until it reopens the Time Trial Course is not available. There may be a Hill Climb in May or June. Watch this space for updates.

(The following was the normal state of things till Alhambra Valley Road failed) Repeating on the first Saturday of the month, except in the depths of winter, ride a fixed course — the hilly 18.7 mile loop known as The Bears — against the clock. To confirm, check the Ride Schedule or contact the Time Trial Czar

Please, let us know if you will be dining with us, thus we can let the restaurant know. Bring a road bike, mountain bike, commute bike … the bike that it is going to make you feel more at ease.
