Meet at 5:25 pm for a 5:35 pm start
Start Location: El Cerrito Plaza BART
Pre-registration
There is some rain in the forecast, though it might not happen. This route https://www.strava.com/routes/3406539270821329118 was tentatively chosen as something that shouldn't get to muddy but I might make some changes depending on what the weather is like. Will post an updated route Tuesday Evening or Wednesday morning accordingly. There probably won't be enough rain to cancel, but keep an eye on this space. Ride ends at headlands assuming conditions are good.

Meet at 9:00 am
Start Location: Rockridge BART
Pre-registration
Ride is still on AND will be pushed back one hour, so we will meet at 10! POP 5-30% after 8am. It's a fairly easy route. If we get uncomfortable, we can shorten pretty easily. See you soon.
Let's take a mid-morning break and go for a short jaunt around north Oakland and Berkeley and along the Albany shore. Meet at Rockridge BART. Coffee at end at Ain't Normal Cafe, where they serve food and have a bathroom. Meeting time is 9am. Train from Antioch arrives at 8:58. Train from San Francisco arrives at 8:52 and 9:03. Roll at 9:10. See the RWGPS route here.

GPC Route: Loop around Mt Tam
Start Location: Piper Park
Pre-registration
From Piper Park (water and rest rooms), we ride the back roads to Fairfax. Then over White Hill to Woodacre, Sam P Taylor, Platform Bridge, and Pt Reyes Station (mile 25) for snacks. Then south to Stinson Beach for lunch (mile 42). Continue south on Hwy 1 to the climb through Muir Woods and the descent into Mill Valley. Final climb over Camino Alto and return to Piper Park via the bike path.
If there is an event at Piper Park and you can't find a spot, park around the corner on Larkspur Plaza Drive. It's uncommon, but it has happened.
This ride sometimes has a faster group (more like M pace) and a regular TM group. The groups come back together at frequent regroups and lunch. Arrive by the meeting time if you don't want to chase.

GPC Tuesday is a Brisk paced loop through the Berkeley / Oakland Hills starting at the Reservoir @ Spruce / Grizzly Blvd. Ride is characterized as fast pace lines with close quarters pack riding skills required. This will be the LAST GPC Tuesday Brisk Group of the season and is a shortened route. This one is for all the marbles: We will meet at the regular place and time, ride our regular pace to Centennial, and then it's FULL GAS to the Grizzly Peak Summit. First to the top will be crowned WORLD CHAMP (of the Tuesday GPC Brisk ride) for the season. From there we'll head directly down Claremont to Smokehouse for burgers and fries. No E-Bikes.

Pre-registration
Let's revisit one of our favorite October with the counterclockwise ride to Mt. Veeder and enjoy fall colors in the vineyards with the new (for some) return route that includes a beautiful bike trail along a eucalyptus grove! Plan for sunny day with cooler temperatures than earlier this week. The climb up Mt Veeder will mostly be in the shade and then the remaining part of the ride is either downhill or mostly flat. Bring plenty of water and snacks; late lunch stop at Browns Valley Market and the yogurt shop and maybe their special pumpkin flavor. Then we will take our new return route back to the cars at Cuttings Wharf. Bring layers.

Ride is still on but a new route to avoid the mud: https://www.strava.com/routes/3413405710532075788 expect steep climbs and the potential for still some mud. Have lights bright enough to see by. Eye protection that can be worn in the dark is good to have. It's getting colder so bring layers. Ride ends at headlands. Also no water stops until towards the end so have enough water.
The classic route RWGPS, but with the start moved to El Cerrito Plaza. Bring warm layers and bright lights to see by. The majority of the dirt sections are up hill or flat, but expect some short bumpy descents in the dark. I'm hoping mud shouldn't be too bad with over a week to dry out, but I will make changes in case of rain. 35mm+ tires recommended.

Ride cancelled due to underenrollment.
This is actually a doppleganger ride - a buddy of mine is leading an SF Bay TEAL Cyclists Ride, and I'm hitching along to try to get some RLCs. :-)
We'll meetup at the Fairfax Police Department @10:30am and roll by 10:45am. We'll climb to the Summit of Mt. Tam along Eldridge Grade, Indian Fire Road, Hookoo-eekoo, and Old Railroad Grade. Some folks may opt to take Eldridge straight to the summit for a more technical, although shorter adventure.
We'll break at the summit, and then descend East Ridgecrest to Rock Spring Road. We'll climb up, and up, and up, then descend Rocky Ridge back to Bon Tempe Lake. From there we take a few fire roads back into town for beer + sausages at Gestalt Haus (great vegan options available).
There is a lot of climbing, but no technical mountain biking to speak of. We'll be keeping a fairly leisurely pace, and will have some new riders among us. Definitely doable on a gravel bike, but you'll want a good granny gear, and the larger your tires the happier you'll be. I'll be on my XC Hardtail, because I think that's the best gravel bike for the bay. :-)
Please come prepared with two water bottles, flat repair kit, a layer, and plenty of snacks to fuel your legs. All the trails we're riding are good even in the rain, so we're riding except for in case of heavy downpour. If in doubt, shoot me a text.
Route. 24 Miles, 3.8k.

Out and back, NO descent to Ed Levin Park; for more you can go up Welch Creek or ride from Oakland. Brief stops: mile 24 turnaround point at driveway under tree, Sunol Park only if needed for restrooms mile 9 on the way out and Sunol Corners market & BR, mile 41, on the way back.

The Marin forecast is for cold and wind, so let's stay protected in the East Bay. This very hilly loop starts and ends at Summit Reservoir, but you can join us along the way wherever it suits you. We'll have a break at Golden Hills Park (mile 24) and eat lunch at Lafayette Public House (mile 31). A final stop at Sibley (mile 49). Be mindful of the road closures of Wildcat and Pinehurst if you are planning where to join and leave the group.

Please join us for the weekly South Park repeats ride. This is a short ride but with a steep climb! We’ll head up Virginia St and Spruce to Spruce/Grizzly Peak for our first regroup, then head out along Wildcat Canyon to South Park Rd. From there, we’ll climb South Park, descend, and climb it again as many times as the mood strikes us (usually two times is enough, but individual riders can shorten or lengthen the ride as desired). South Park is closed to cars starting November 1st, which makes it perfect for winter riding. If we complete two round trip ascents up South Park then back to N Berkeley Bart, expect about 2,300 feet of elevation gain. This is a great way to stay in shape over the winter!
NOTE: This is a night ride. Come with bright front and rear lights (and make sure they work). 20% chance or greater of rain cancels the ride. Please contact ride leaders with any questions.

There is some rain in the forecast, though it might not happen. This route https://www.strava.com/routes/3406539270821329118 was tentatively chosen as something that shouldn't get to muddy but I might make some changes depending on what the weather is like. No E-Bikes.

Brief stops: mile 24 turnaround point at driveway under tree, Sunol Park only if needed for restrooms mile 9 on the way out and Sunol Corners market & BR, mile 41, on the way back.

Join us for the Treasure Island lap, starting at the Bay Bridge base of the Alex Zuckermann bike path. This ride features shorter regroups, a faster T-pace, and sparkling city skylines. Expect one short, steep descent and a challenging half-mile climb off the island (7-10% grade). Ride ends with optional food and drinks at Bay Street or Wondrous Brewing Company. Bring lights and warm layers.

It is time for our fall Healdsburg Harvest ride and enjoy the beautiful roads and colors in Russian River valley. We will be starting from Esposti Park in Windsor as we did last few years . Then head over to Chalk Hill, Alexander Valley Road and Red Winery road to Geyersville and over to West Dry Creek for lunch in Healdsburg plaza. After lunch, it is Westside and Eastside roads and back to Windsor. Lunch is 35 miles into the ride so bring snacks. Bring or buy lunch in Healdsburg. Terrain is rolling with short climbs on Chalk Hill and Canyon. You may shorten the ride with short cut to lunch with bypass of Red Winery/Canyon/West Dry Creek loop to around 37 miles. You also go directly back to Windsor on Old Redwood Highway. Email leader for shortcuts.

Route. This is another variant which takes us down Havey canyon. Expect to descend trails in the dark so bring good lights. It will be cold so layers are recommended. Moved the ride the Thursday so there is an extra day for the trails to drain. Expect the schedule to vary more as we come into the rainy season. If anyone still wants to lead a Wednesday evening ride feel free but I won't be attending. Ride ends at Headlands Brewing
