Meet at 9:45 am for a 10:00 am start
Start Location: Helen Putnam Park, Petaluma
Come join us on Labor Day for this fun, beautiful, and challenging ride, with lunch at the delicious Wild Flour Bakery in Freestone (yes, they'll be open!). This ride follows much of the northern loop of the Holstein 100K: https://www.grizz.org/cue_sheets/H100K.txt
Note that we'll be starting at Helen Putnam Park, about a mile from the starting point on this cue sheet. The park usually costs $7 for parking (yes, they take credit cards), but there's a possibility it may be free on Labor Day? There's a possibility it won't be either, so be prepared just in case! Bring snacks and water, and be able to follow a cue sheet if you think you'll be faster or slower than the posted pace. Hope to see you there!

Meet at 9:00 am for a 9:15 am start
Start Location: Northgate One Shopping Center
Join me for this moderately hilly 62/4,200 ride in beautiful Marin County, including the classic stop at Pt Reyes Station for baked goods, and stunning scenery as we ride south on Highway 1 through Stinson Beach (second rest stop). Auto traffic is generally lighter in the southward direction on Highway 1. We'll have a few great climbs, including Big Rock and the climb out of Muir Woods. We'll regroup at several points. Rest stops will include time to get/eat snacks, but we won't have an extended "lunch" stop. We start and end at the Northgate One shopping center in Terra Linda (park along the Freitas Parkway edge of the parking lot, adjacent to Walgreens, 155 Northgate One, San Rafael). After the ride, join me for birthday ice cream at Silberman's (where I celebrated many a birthday growing up in this community!) or there are several other food choices for late lunch. I'll have cue sheets and cold, sparkling water with juice drinks at the end of the ride for anyone who is interested. Leader: Maria Teresa Garcia De La Noceda (510) 725-8405
Leader: Kent Lewandowski (510) 759-6646
Meet at 9:30 am
Estella (Maria Teresa Garcia de la Noceda) is sick, thus she will not be leading the ride, BUT KENT LEWANDOWSKI will.
Join Kent and Estella on a “gourmet” Blackberry Bicycle Ride … We are going to pick up berries as we ride along very scenic roads in rural Sonoma County. It is a truly beautiful ride, with views of the ocean. We will start and end at Cotati Train Station near Hwy 101 north of Petaluma. We will stop at Tomales Bakery around mile 16 … A little bit of cash will bring you the opportunity to get a scone, or another treat. Expected time to begin riding is 10:00 a.m. The expected time to complete the loop is 5-6 hours, which means we will be done by 3 or 4 p.m. depending of how many berries we can collect and eat. Please allow 1 hour 15 minutes for the drive up from the Bay Area, and 1 hour 30 minutes for the return drive.
We encourage carpooling; the leaders will attempt to organize carpools, but you need to contact them in advance. Please allow sufficient time to get to the start point by 9:30 a.m. If you are coming late, please text Kent ahead of time at 510-759-6646.
This ride is co-sponsored with the Sierra Club Bicycling Section.
We would love for you to join us. Any questions? Please call Kent, or Estella

Meet at 9:45 am for a 10:00 am start
GPC Route: Orinda to Bear Claw Cafe
Start Location: Orinda BART NW corner of parking lot
Ride out to Pinole, along San Pablo Dam Road and Pinole Valley Road. Our goal is to get some riders who may cringe at riding the hilly 'bears route'; but who would like to do about 30 miles to maybe get back into riding again. Planned destination is the Bear Claw Cafe, a quaint, old-timey family bakery in downtown Pinole, with a visual historical treat in the alcove next to the building. Faster riders are welcome, too...just save me a Bear Claw! Bring a friend. Optional lunch at Orinda Square (Petra's Greek Cafe, Europa Hof-Brau, Nation's burgers, Subway, Peet's and Starbucks). https://ridewithgps.com/routes/14580950. Check out Social Biker Group on Facebook. Join free.

Meet at 9:30 am
Start Location: Berkeley - Aquatic Park Playground
Meet at the south end of Bolivar Drive in Aquatic Park in Berkeley near the playground and restrooms. This is a 10 minute ride from either North Berkeley or Downtown Berkeley BART; there is also parking along Bolivar. The route goes over the multiuser bridge, heads a short way south toward Point Emery, and then north past Pt. Isabel to Meeker Slough. Wintering shorebirds have joined resident birds, and we should see some migrants passing through. Helmets required. Bring binoculars and snacks; wear layers. September is usually beautiful, but If the weather is questionable, send your e-mail address to Pat (pjgreene@sonic.net) to receive early AM news on the status of the ride. This birding ride is co-listed with Golden Gate Audubon with Cathy Bleier co-leading (csbleier@sbcglobal.net).

Meet at 8:30 am for a 8:45 am start
Start Location: Woodside Town Hall
I've been warned that west Old LaHonda road (past skyline) is closed, so I've re-routed us around that. If we get there and the road is clearly passable we'll still take west Old LaHonda. Note too that the Jensie gran fondo will use the same roads on the same day, but starting from Half Moon Bay. I doubt we will encounter any of those riders.
This loop goes over 2 classic peninsula climbs, Old LaHonda and Tunitas Creek. The terrain is rugged and frequently remote, the payoff is the beautiful landscape and peaceful roads. There will be minimal rest stops, with a bathroom/water break at McDonald park, a snack/water break in Pescadero, and a lunch break in Half Moon Bay, plus quick regroups as necessary. There is a bailout option that saves 16 miles and 1200' of climbing by skipping the loop around Higgins Canyon, Purisima creek, and the Lobitos creek cutoff. If there's enough interest we can have dinner at Bucks in Woodside after the ride. Ride details are at https://ridewithgps.com/routes/30990202 Please contact me if you have any questions.

Northgate One Shopping Center

Orinda to Bear Claw Cafe
Start Location:
Orinda BART NW corner of parking lot
Join free.

Berkeley - Aquatic Park Playground
Meet at the south end of Bolivar Drive in Aquatic Park in Berkeley near the playground and restrooms. This is a 10 minute ride from either North Berkeley or Downtown Berkeley BART; there is also parking along Bolivar. We’ll ride ~15 mostly flat, mostly paved, miles on the Bay Trail (with one short climb over the racetrack and one very short stretch on gravel).

Start Location:
Woodside Town Hall
