GPC Route: Orinda to Bear Claw Cafe
Start Location: Orinda BART NW corner of parking lot
Ride repeats on the Third Satuday of each month.
Ride out to Pinole, along San Pablo Dam Road and Pinole Valley Road. Our goal is to get some riders who may cringe at riding the hilly 'bears route'; but who would like to do about 30 miles to maybe get back into riding again. Planned destination is the Bear Claw Cafe, a quaint, old-timey family bakery in downtown Pinole, with a visual historical treat in the alcove next to the building. Faster riders are welcome, too...just save me a Bear Claw! Bring a friend. Optional lunch at Orinda Square (Petra's Greek Cafe, Nation's burgers, Subway, Peet's and Starbucks).
Leader: Stephanie Clarke (510) 558-9614
Meet at 9:30 am for a 9:45 am start
Start Location: Nicasio
A favorite rolling ride from Nicasio out to Drake’s Beach in the Pt Reyes National Seashore. We’ll start by taking in the Nicasio reservoir, cross over Platform Bridge and then head up Olema Hill to Pt Reyes before heading out Bear Valley Road and Sir Frances Drake to the coast for lunch (picnic tables and bathrooms available, sandwiches can be purchased at the excellent deli along the way). After lunch we’ll head back to Pt Reyes Station for an optional re-group at the Bovine Bakery before the short section left to Nicasio. Expect at least two significant climbs, and lots of rollers as we make our way out to the coast (not to mention a leg-cruncher short stretch to get back up to the main road from the beach). Last time we did this ride, we were treated to huge bull elephant seals lazing away on the beach. Leader will ride at a fast TM pace; other paces welcome for those comfortable following a cue sheet. Bring water, lunch or money to buy, and a wind or rain jacket.

Summer temperatures may require particular attention to hydration so please come prepared. Route at RWGPS at http://tinyurl.com/h4z3lx4 RSVP email appreciated for cue sheet count to Chris Bailey.

Meet at 8:50 am for a 9:00 am start
GPC Route: Tunitas backwards
Start Location: Woodside Town Hall
The potholes on the top of Tunitas Creek Rd have been nicely paved since the Tour of California went up there a few years ago. So it's up King's Mountain, and down Tunitas Creek - a lovely descent - much less white knuckle than King's Mountain, with a quick stop at the Bike Hut. Lunch in Pescadero is still about halfway. Return via Alpine, and down Page Mill Rd. Refreshments at Roberts in Portola Valley. As a humane alternate, avoid the brutal Alpine climb by taking Pescadero Road to La Honda and Hwy 84 to Skyline.

Meet at 8:00 am for a 8:10 am start Rain Date: Sun Jul 31
King Ridge and the Sonoma Coast Hwy 1 are utterly spectacular bike roads! We'll cover them and many other fabulous Sonoma hills. We start from Cotati; ride outbound via Freestone, Duncans Mills, and Cazadero; return via Stewart's Point, Jenner, Bodega Bay, and Valley Ford. This is an ambitious, hilly ride. It should not be your first self-supported century. Be fully self-sufficient. Bring a rugged bike — many roads are rough and should you break down, you'll be miles away from cell phone reception and rescue.
RSVP required by 4:00pm Friday. Rider limit of one dozen — we don't want to overwhelm the stores where we stop — so RSVP early. Ride start location will be given to RSVP'ers only, sorry! Carpooling encouraged. Allow 55 minutes drive time from Berkeley.

Express sign-in. Route from Berkeley through Walnut Creek, Clayton, and on via Marsh Creek past the turnout to Morgan Territory to Los Vaqueros Reservoir and continuing into Brentwood for lunch at Safeway. Several out-and-backs will probe the outer reaches of our purview. (We also will offer an optional exploratory 4 mile out-and-back on a possible dirt road section of Chadbourne Road replacing the dirt road section of Briones Valley Road out-and-back travelled earlier this season.) Summer temperatures may require particular attention to hydration so please come prepared. Route at RWGPS at http://tinyurl.com/h4z3lx4 RSVP email appreciated for cue sheet count to Chris Bailey.

GPC Route:
Tunitas backwards
Start Location:
Woodside Town Hall

Friendly but hilly workout & skills ride. We have two pace groups — M and B — each usually with its own leader (Mark and Matt). Either group will give you a sustained hard workout and will help develop your skills in climbing, descending, drafting, pacelining, positioning, and sprinting. Please read ride details and route description at http://www.abriz.net/gpc/tues-ride.html. RAIN CANCELS.

Start Location:
Berkeley - Aquatic Park Playground
We will ride to the Emeryville marina, then North on the Bay Trail for a clockwise loop to the Red Oak Victory ship, Miller-Knox Park, Ferry Point Tunnel, & lunch @ Little Louie's. There will be an option to bypass the tunnel.

See the listing for Sat Jul 30. If that ride was rained out, we will try again today. Contact the ride leader if you aren't sure.
