Meet at 1:30 pm for a 1:35 pm start
Start Location: Rockridge BART
Pre-registration
We have a short break between rainstorms -- Let's make the most of it!
Meet, ready to ride, 1:30pm. Prompt departure 1:35. From Rockridge BART we'll ride via Tunnel, Pinehurst, and Redwood to Redwood Canyon Golf Course. Return via Redwood and Skyline. Sundown is approximately 5:50pm so we should return in daylight. But please bring lights just in case.
Preregistration appreciated: I need at least one signup by Noon on Friday or else I'll bypass Rockridge Bart.
Let me know (by 8:00pm Thu) if you want a RWGPS route sheet ... as these are all familiar local roads I'm not sure if anyone will.

Meet at 5:25 pm for a 5:35 pm start
Start Location: El Cerrito Plaza BART
Pre-registration
The route will vary week to week but we always start at El Cerrito Plaza BART. I have upgraded this ride to TM to better reflect sorts of riders which typically show up. I will continue riding at the same pace that I always have and we will continue to have frequent regroups so don't let the new pace deter you from showing up. Bring warm layers and bright lights to see by. The majority of the dirt sections often up hill or flat, but expect some short bumpy descents in the dark.

Meet at 5:25 pm for a 5:35 pm start
Start Location: El Cerrito Plaza BART
Pre-registration
This ride will start with the TM pace ride at El Cerrito Plaza BART. This will be a no drop ride good for riders new to gravel riding, training for the GPC Gravel Century, or just want to ride at a more chill pace. It is recommended to have 32mm or bigger tires. Bring warm layers and bright lights to see by. The majority of the dirt sections will be fire roads with two sections of singletrack at the end. We will have regular regroups and there will be an option to skip the singletrack sections at the end of the ride.

This weekly ride often tours through West Marin, but sometimes travels to Napa, Sonoma, or Livermore, depending on the season. We have frequent regroups and usually stop for a real lunch, if it is available on the route. This listing will be updated when the route and leader have been determined, usually by Monday evening. Status updates for weather cancellations will also be posted on the schedule.
There is sometimes a faster (more like M pace) group on this ride, but we all come back together at frequent regroups and lunch. Faster riders should feel free to push on after lunch. Just tell the leader first.

Please join us for the weekly South Park repeats ride. This is a short ride but with a steep climb! We’ll head up Virginia St and Spruce to Spruce/Grizzly Peak for our first regroup, then head out along Wildcat Canyon to South Park Rd. From there, we’ll climb South Park, descend, and climb it again as many times as the mood strikes us (usually two times is enough, but individual riders can shorten or lengthen the ride as desired). South Park is closed to cars starting November 1st, which makes it perfect for winter riding. If we complete two round trip ascents up South Park then back to N Berkeley Bart, expect about 2,300 feet of elevation gain. This is a great way to stay in shape over the winter!
NOTE: This is a night ride. Come with bright front and rear lights (and make sure they work). 20% chance or greater of rain cancels the ride. Please contact ride leaders with any questions.

Meet at 10:00 am
Start Location: San Bruno BART
Mandatory pre-registration
Leisurely but challenging ride from the peninsula to the coast and back. Hopefully there will be clear skies, but it's always possible fog will take over on the coast. Several highlights: Sweeney Ridge, San Pedro Mountain (AKA Planet of the Apes), Gray Whale Cove Trail, Coastal Trail, Purisima Creek Trail. About a third of this ride is unpaved. It'll be more comfortable with wider tires (35 mm+) but it is entirely doable on a road bike if you're willing to deal with some bumpiness. Bring spare tube and flat-fixing tools. We'll be taking Caltrain, so be prepared with Clipper Card. Also bring enough water to last about 3 hours as there are very few potential water options after lunch.
Part 1: From San Bruno BART, start immediately climbing up Sneath Lane. This will gradually get steeper and eventually turn into Sneath Lane Trail (paved). We will continue until reaching the top of Sweeney Ridge. Loop around Sweeney Ridge and down Bacquiano Trail-this is really the only somewhat technical descent (narrow and windy dirt).
Part 2: Next challenge is San Pedro Mountain Road, formerly open to cars but maintenance lapsed and now it's a an eroded semi-maintained hiking/biking trail. There are a few rocky sections and a couple of sandy areas on the descent so be careful. Optional bathroom stop before looping out to Highway 1 on Gray Whale Cove Trail.
Part 3: Most of the next 10 miles are paved, a couple miles on Highway 1 before taking side roads and trails to Half Moon Bay. Lunch in Half Moon Bay-there are a few nearby options plus Starbucks. This is about the halfway point, but also the last real water and full bathroom until Woodside. If for whatever reason you're not feeling up to the rest of the ride, this is also the last real bail opportunity.
Part 4: From Half Moon Bay, we'll take the Coastal Trail to the end (very scenic, mostly unpaved route, secluded from traffic and right near the ocean), very briefly go onto Highway 1, and ultimately take Purisima Creek Road to Purisima Creek Trail, a fairly steep but well graded dirt climb. Then it's just descending into Woodside and Redwood City to Caltrain. If you want to go all the way to BART, you can take Cañada Road to Sawyer Camp Trail but that's on your own. Caltrain runs every half hour, and there is a discounted transfer between Caltrain and BART. If you end up driving to the start, San Bruno Caltrain is under a mile from San Bruno BART.
