UPDATE:

No ride May 7, because volunteering.

A chatty casual pace up Tunnel from Peet's Domingo before lunch.

Arrive at 10:45 if you want to have coffee before or chat in the courtyard. Ride leaves at 11am sharp and takes the "scenic route" AKA Uplands to Tunnel. Regroup at the top of Tunnel (Skyline & Grizzly 3 way intersection). Then ride over to Claremont via Grizzly to head back down.

Pace is whatever the group wants with the idea that we will all wait at the top of Tunnel for the last riders to make it up and ride the ridge more or less together before descending Claremont. If you need to leave early please let the leader know before heading off.

Steady rain or sub 45 degrees cancels.

April 23rd I will not be in town, open to having another ride leader otherwise canceled.

A long, hot inland route appropriate for acclimation for the Davis Double or similar rides. Lots of superb North Bay scenery. Meet, ready to ride, 08:00. Please arrive by 07:45 to take care of your stuff. Or earlier, if you need more time.

The main route is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/27477089, which is about 120 mi and 8400 ft, including Mt Veeder Rd, Old Howell Mtn Rd, and Ink Grade Rd. There are several possible shortcuts as shown by https://ridewithgps.com/routes/27477905, which is about 100 mi and 6400 ft. You can take some or all of the shortcuts. The routes share the same regroup points. Paper cue sheets are not provided; please print your own from the RWGPS.

RSVP's appreciated. For more information email me; much of the planning has already taken place via email. This is an ambitious, hilly ride. It should not be your first self-supported century. Camelbaks and sunscreen recommended.

The first 7.5 miles all pace groups ride together at a social pace...you'll ride with club members you might not see for the rest of the month. After that, we split into five separate pace groups. The pace groups are named after musical tempi: Largo, Adagio, Andante, Allegretto, and Presto. Click on the tempo for the exact route. More information about this ride, excluding route details, is posted on-line at http://www.grizz.org/rides/assr.php. Rain cancels. Ride out to Pinole, along San Pablo Dam Road and Pinole Valley Road.  Our goal is to get some riders who may cringe at riding the hilly 'bears route'; but who would like to do about 30 miles to maybe get back into riding again. Planned destination is the Bear Claw Cafe, a quaint, old-timey family bakery in downtown Pinole, with a visual historical treat in the alcove next to the building. Faster riders are welcome, too...just save me a Bear Claw! Bring a friend. Optional lunch at Orinda Square (Petra's Greek Cafe, Europa Hof-Brau, Nation's burgers, Subway, Peet's and Starbucks). https://ridewithgps.com/routes/14580950.
