UPDATE:

Ride is ON. Riders starting with Jess at Miller Creek should be aware of possible ice patches on some roads -- descend and corner with care! It looks like the bakery in Tomales is still there, and hopefully we will arrive in time for morning treats. If not, the reviews for the pizza are good. Ride to Eat, Eat to Ride.

Our East Bay riding is limited due to the road damage caused by the recent rains. So let's head to Marin in search of sunshine and dry roads. This ride is a classic, featuring the steep climb up Wilson Hill Rd, the ever-beautiful Chileno Valley Road, a well-timed lunch/snack stop in Tomales, the picturesque roll down Highway 1 to Pt Reyes Station for late-ride coffee and treats, and a short roll back to Nicasio from there. Bring snacks, lunch, or $$ to buy, and two water bottles to see you through to Tomales, where there may no longer be that great bakery. TM pace. Any chance of rain cancels, but for now the forecast is for sunny skies and cold temperatures, so dress accordingly. Please download the route to your preferred navigation device; leader will not provide printed cue sheets. Those wanting 20 more miles (78 total!) should meet Jess at Miller Creek at 9:00 and be prepared to roll by 9:15 in order to meet the group in Nicasio. Steph will meet in Nicasio at 10:00, and roll promptly at 10:15. Check the website for any late-breaking weather or road updates. Let's ride!

  3. California Civil Code section 1542 states: 'A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his favor at the time of executing the release, which if known by him must have materially affected his settlement with the debtor.' If, in the course of performing volunteer service for Grizzly Peak Cyclists, I provide or develop any software, procedures, data, maps, cue-sheets, artwork, or other material in which I have any ownership or copyright rights, I grant to the club license to copy, modify, retain and use such material in perpetuity for its purposes without compensation either implicitly by this agreement or by any compatible explicit license. Such grant is not needed for presentations or writings intended for one-time use, such as meeting presentations or items sent to the newsletter.
