Starting from Plenty on Bell in Los Alamos, experience the incredible Cat Canyon climb. Cross over Hwy 101, toward Alisos Canyon Road, do an incredibly bumpy frontage road, Ride the smooth and serene Alisos canyon, then follow Foxen Canyon north toward your destiny. Cat Canyon is the bumpiest road that I know of, topped off by grades occasionally over 10%! You'll love it! After this very hard one mile climb, you are treated to many miles of downhill, nearly making it all the way back to Los Alamos. Just before Los Alamos you need to cross highway 101, but you can do it in two parts, then easy cruising back to lunch at Plenty on Bell. |
