Berkeley to Davis
Meet 8:00 a.m. at N Berkeley BART for an 8:15 departure on this
very pleasant and quite flat (4,000 ) route to Davis -- there are a
few hills, but the farther we ride, the flatter it gets. Typically
there are wonderful tailwinds on the flatter stretches. The train
ride back to Berkeley is delightful. If it s warm, be sure to bring
adequate water for the heat and cash for your Amtrak ticket for the
return. A 20% chance of rain in Berkeley or Vacaville cancels;

Workers' Century: For Century Volunteers
Route will duplicate the century with slight variations. North Loop
will feature rest stops at Island, Crockett, and Bear Creek with
leftover cookies, fruit, water, and sports drink. Riders get $5 for
lunch in Orinda. There will be no South Loop rest stops. Riders
please be self sufficient as there will be no SAG sweeping the
route (support team cell phone #s will be provided). Come out and

counterclockwise loop through the Oakland-Berkeley hills along
Redwood Rd, then over Norris Canyon and up Mt Diablo's south gate
to the Junction. Navigate the mystery spots of Walnut Creek before
the final climbs up Alhambra Valley, Wildcat Canyon, and Grizzly

Hill out Franklin Cyn with a longer but gentle hill. A fabulous
descent into Crockett, followed by great views of Carquinez Strait
from a secluded road on the return. One spot is frequently
foggy/cold, so carry an extra layer (jacket). Bring lunch or $ to

Meet at 10:00 a.m. at entrance to Dublin BART, for a 10:15 start on
this no-drop ride to Castro Valley via Sunol and Palomares.
Palomares is one of the most beautiful roads in the East Bay.
There's no traffic. The scenery will take your mind off the hill
you're climbing, a wonderful 5 mile grade through rocky gorges,
forested areas, horse farms and wineries. Next is a terrific 5 mile
descent through forests that level out through farm and horse

Lafayette-Moraga Trail
Meet for a 10:00 a.m. start at Moraga Commons, on St Mary's Rd
close to Moraga Rd in Moraga. We'll ride along the bike path to the
parking lots near Olympic Blvd and ride back. The out and back ride
is approximately 11 miles. Riders who wish to do less can turn
around at any point. There is a playground at Moraga Commons for

Thornhill and then Elverton to Skyline. Tunnel to Channing,
Sherwick, Bristol, and Buckingham to Skyline. Hiller to Alvarado
and then up Claremont to Skyline. Centennial to Grizzly Peak. South
Park to Grizzly Peak. Bates and Alcalanes to Camino Pablo. El
Toyanal/Lomas Contatas to Grizzly Peak and then up to the top of

Century. Only there won't be any rest stops, homemade cookies,
lunch stop, or T-shirts. Just the brutal hills in the baking sun.

near the Brazilian Room at 8:00 a.m. for 8:15 a.m. departure. Those
who want to do the South Loop can add it on; maps and route sheets
will be provided for the South Loop, but you will be riding on your
