cyclist. This is not meant to be an all inclusive list, it is simply a
list that some of our members have found useful.
RIDES Commuting information
(find a commute buddy!). Also has incentives listed (such as a
free taxi ride home in an emergency), to remove those last
barriers to Bicycle Commuting.
Klimb by Kieth Vetter. A graphical
representation of distance and climbing superimposed on USGS topographic
maps. This incorporates Bill Bushnell's data and adds additional data.
Bike Route.
an implimentation of Klimb for Mac OS X.
Ride With GPS can be used to create and
share routes and elevation profiles. As its name implies it can import and
export GPS files in TCX and GPX formats (compatible with some Garmin and perhaps
other GPS units), but you don't need a GPS to create routes.
At Map My Ride you can map out your
favorite rides, print out route slips, create elevation profiles for your
rides, manage your training log, and interact with other cyclists.
BikeRouteToaster.com
is a course creation application primarily aimed at Garmin Edge/Forerunner
owners although other users without a GPS may also find it useful for planning rides.
Bikely helps cyclists share knowledge
of good bicycle routes.
