Clothing in Stock

GPC has the following bike clothing in stock, available for purchase by members (only). Except where noted, all are manufactured by Voler.

• GPC jerseys (club-fit ¾-length-zipper only, men's and women's): $70.
• GPC armwarmers (2007 design, from Champ-Sys) — SUPER SALE! — $7/pair for lycra; $10/pair for fleece.
• GPC armwarmers (2010 design, from Voler): $30/pair.
• GPC club socks: $5/pair.   (What a deal! They are priced way under most cycling socks, and they will match your GPC jersey way better, too.)
• GPC wind vests: $60.
• GPC wind jackets: $65.

SPECIALS and ONE-OF's. We also have the following special and one-of items. When they're gone, they're gone!

• GPC men's sleeveless club-fit jersey, size M (qty 1): $50. Low price!
• GPC women's short-sleeve race-fit jersey, size M (qty 2): $70.
• GPC women's long-sleeve club-fit Geotherm jersey, size M, full-length zipper (qty 1): $72.
• GPC men's shorts, size M, Torino pad (qty 1): $60.
• GPC men's shorts, size L, Torino pad (qty 1): $60.

To purchase any of the above, contact Jane Bailowitz, email Clothing at Grizz dot Org. They may also be earned as ride leader premiums. For armwarmers and socks, the premium is one pair armwarmers plus 3 pair socks, or equivalent.

GPC also stocks “ride leader” wind jackets. They are a special design, with the logo “Ride Leader,” intended to honor those who have led at least 8 rides. They are available as a ride leader premium only — not for purchase — and may be earned only once per member.

By the way, Voler is pronounced “voe-LAY”, as in French.

Special Order Clothing

From time to time, we place a clothing order with our vendor, Voler. When we do, we announce it in the club newsletter, maillist, and web site, so that club members may specify special items as part of the order. This is the ONLY way to obtain items such as race-fit jerseys, sleeveless jerseys, full-length-zipper jerseys, longsleeve jerseys; any kind of shorts, knickers, etc; or special sizes such as XS or XXL.

The September 2011 Special Order

WHAT. The September special order was for short-sleeve items (including sleeveless vests) and bottoms (shorts and knickers).
TIMELINE. Orders were due to GPC by Friday 9 September. They arrived from Voler on Tuesday 8 November and are now available for pick-up by club members. To get yours, contact Jane Bailowitz, email Clothing at Grizz dot Org.

The July 2011 Special Order

WHAT. The July special order was for long-sleeve jerseys, windjackets, thermal jackets, and armwarmers.
TIMELINE. Orders were due to GPC by Monday 18 July. They arrived from Voler on Monday 3 October — about two weeks later than originally expected — and are now available for pick-up by club members. Same contact info as above.

Sizing

Voler sizing information is online, here. However, the comment on that page about free sizing exchanges applies only to to stock items purchased directly from Voler. It does not apply to special-ordered GPC bike clothing.

Note that Voler's sizes may be different from what you're used to. In other words, don't assume that Voler's size M (for example) will fit like your usual size M. For one thing, quality road bike clothing is intended to fit snugly. If you are buying items from GPC stock, our clothing czarina will let you try on sizes as necessary. When we place a special order from Voler, we generally have a “sizing kit” on loan from them for two weeks preceding the order so that you can see what fits you best.
