Subject: Thanks for an outstanding event !

Hi,

I noted the email addresses listed above in your club newsletter. Please forward this message on the folks that worked the GPC this past weekend.

Like so many of the people who do these events, I was very focused on my own efforts on Sunday. The day prior I was in Santa Rosa for the Wine Country Century with my fiancee and our tandem. The GPC was for me on the single / short bike.

Although I been riding now for about seven years, this was my first GPC. I guess I should have planned better in previous years, you folks put on an outstanding event !

The route was well marked, the support staff extremely friendly, the food extraordinarily good, just a super event. I'm a member of ACTC and we pride ourselves on our Terra Bella, you have an event to be extremely proud of.

I know I did not say "thank-you" enough during the event on Sunday, and now I'm feeling guilty. Please accept this message as a well earned "THANK YOU".

I'll definitely be back.

Regards,
Rick H

Subject: You folks put on one GREAT century!

Thanks to all of you for putting on one of the best centuries I've ridden.

Food was incredible, route marking and directions great, everyone quite helpful, water bottle instead of useless patch, great weather (ok, I guess you can't take credit for that :)

That's one heck of a job!

Thanks,
Mike Munrow

Subject: Great Century!

As a relative neophyte to cycling I had only heard what a great ride the Grizzly Peak Century was...now I can confirm that myself! Okay, I can only claim to have completed the north loop, but with the great route, abundance of great food, and great northern california hospitality...I felt no great compulsion to do the south loop, but rather to settle in and enjoy lunch before my drive back to Orange County.

My northern californian friends had told me about the Wine Country Centry/Grizzly Peak Century weekend and I was quick to sign-up for both. And it was well worth the drive! I do have to admit that I'm still recovering from the challenge of riding both, but with every detailed description of all the climbs I'm quick to include a description of all the rest stops! Hot tea with honey to take the edge off the cold morning. Freshly baked pumpkin bread and heart shaped snickerdoodles. Homemade peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies. And tabouli for 800! It was such a refreshing reality check realizing that cycling doesn't have to mean hammering through a ride eating "artificial food stuff". If you did...you would have missed all of the scenic vistas and the delicious goodies that had to be oozing with fat and calories...yummmm!

Thanks for sponsoring such a memorable event! This has truly become one of my favorite rides!
